The Protoss Dark Templar Stalker is a war machine inspired by the ancient Templar Dragoon walker, created when the Dark Templar realized that guile alone cannot defeat the Zerg. The Stalker is a machine controlled by the shadow-essence of a Dark Templar warrior, willingly fused into its metal body.

They have the ability to blink from one place to another, allows them to either escape or catch up to slower moving units. In addition, this allows them to circumvent certain aspects of the terrain, much like the Protoss Colossus. It remains to be seen exactly how far they are able to blink. They can target both ground and aerial units, but their weapon doesn’t seem too powerful. The stalker seems to be more of a hit and run unit to be used tactically.
