Various sources have reported that there will be a playable version of Starcraft 2 at this year’s Blizzcon. From Gaming Horizon:

Blizzard just informed us today that Starcraft 2 will be playable by the public for the first time at BlizzCon. Demo stations will be set up at the convention, and attendees can sample the new units and game-play elements for themselves in multiplayer battles.

Tickets to BlizzCon (August 3–4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA) have already sold out. Gaming Horizon will have full coverage of this event.

Still no word of a possible release date. Perhaps it will be announced at Blizzcon?

In the mean time, here’s a Starcraft 2 Trailer remix I came across.
